The content of our retreats is constantly being peer-reviewed for theological orthodoxy, pastoral sensitivity, and age-appropriateness by the many school and parish leaders with whom we work every year, including (but not limited to) priests, deacons, religious sisters, parish pastoral leaders, religion teachers and parents. The overwhelming majority of groups with whom we work continue to invite us back year after year.
Additionally, our binder of materials – which is regularly updated – has been thoroughly reviewed by our advisors, staff members, and volunteers, including (but not limited to):
- One of our theological advisors – a Marianist priest – who currently serves as the chaplain for two local Catholic high schools with a master’s degree in theology from the University of Dayton and an STB (Sacrae Theologiae Baccalaureus) from The Angelicum in Rome.
- One of our full-time staff members has been involved in retreat ministry for over thirty-five years; five with the Marianists and thirty at the Archdiocesan level.
- One of our full-time staff members has been involved in retreat ministry for over thirty years; one with the Marianists and twenty-nine at the parish level).
- One of our part-time staff members has been involved in ministry for twenty-three years, is a mother of two teens, and has a bachelor’s degree in theology.
- One of our part-time staff members has been involved in ministry for over seven years and possesses a master’s in pastoral studies with an emphasis in youth and young adult ministry.
- A MORE Team volunteer has a doctorate in Educational Leadership and is trained as a Safe Environment Facilitator.
- A MORE Team volunteer has a doctorate in Educational Leadership, a master’s in theological studies, a master’s in educational leadership, and a bachelor’s in elementary education.
