About:
Mary is a wonderful example of Christian femininity coupled with grit, resilience, and determination. Her life is anchored in her Jewish faith and manifested in her perfect obedience to God’s will. She has many titles, such as Theotokos, the New Eve, the New Ark, Queen of Heaven, and more, but where do these titles come from? This Lent, walk with Mary from her early childhood and service in the temple all the way through her Assumption into heaven. By exploring Mary’s life, we can see clearly how she helps to connect the Old and New Testaments into a beautiful tapestry of God’s plan of redemption through Jesus. Mary’s life also showcases the elevated role God gave to women from the very beginning of creation.
