Uniting Our “Passions” to the Passion of the Christ: A Good Friday Day of Recollection with Msgr. Michael Witt

Date:
Time: to

Please join us for a Good Friday day of recollection at the Marianist Retreat and Conference Center on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 9 am – 1 pm. Msgr. Michael John Witt will lead us through two presentations and some time for reflection and meditation.

His first talk will be entitled “The Passion of the Christ: Why?” during which he will share with us why Jesus had to suffer and die. His second talk is entitled “Our Passions: Wasted or Redemptive?” in which he will share stories of folks (including himself) who have suffered and united those sufferings to the cross of Jesus as a way of redemption.

This day promised to help all of us to see our diminishment through spiritual eyes.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and/or Spiritual Direction, if desired. We will also be offering golf cart tours of our property, weather permitting. We will conclude with a light Lenten lunch. Though this event technically ends at 1 pm, folks are welcome to stay as late as 3 pm, walking our beautiful grounds and/or spending some quiet time in our peaceful chapel. And, if you would like to attend your own parish’s Good Friday services, you will have plenty of time to do so after this event ends! Cost is $45 per person, and registration is now open! Please note, however, that our registration deadline is Noon on Friday, March 22, 2024.
