  them\, ‘Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest
 ’.” Mark 6:31 \n\nLet’s be real\, this past year has taken a toll
  like no other on educators who have been overextended in an unstable\, 
 ever-changing classroom or school setting. This one or two-day overnight
  retreat offers a quiet place to pray\, rest\, and recharge. We invite y
 ou to slow down and turn the same care and kindness you’ve shown to yo
 ur students inward towards yourself. Self-care is not selfish! This retr
 eat includes faith-based opportunities like morning and evening prayer\,
  adoration\, outdoor prayer experiences\, and a celebration of the Eucha
 rist\, as well as self-care options for meditation and mindfulness\, cre
 ative processing\, or time to just sit and “Be Still Here”.  All me
 als are included along with an evening social to relax and enjoy each ot
 her’s company around a bonfire. All activities and programming are opt
 ional. This is your time to pause and offer your mind\, body\, heart\, a
 nd soul what it needs most\, and to support others who want to do the sa
 me.

  nun and author?\n\nJoin us for a special retreat weekend July 29-31\, 2
 022\, offering sacred space and time to explore The Seven Mansions of Te
 resa of Avila’s Interior Castle. Inspired by St. Teresa's vision of th
 e soul as a diamond in the shape of a castle containing seven mansions\,
  we will explore the stages that we go through as we are seeking to know
  our God.\n\nTeresa of Avila is one of Christianity’s great teachers. 
 The Seven Mansions of the Interior Castle is her final work and one of t
 he most profound literary works on Christian prayer. Prayer stood at the
  center of Teresa’s teaching\; she considered a life of prayer in term
 s of love and deepening relationship with God. Together we will reflect 
 on the light of Teresa’s timeless insights into the human soul\, its j
 ourney toward God\, and how Teresa’s teaching is relevant to our perso
 nal contemporary spiritual journey today.\n\nPeople of all ages and in a
 ll stages of spirituality are welcome to this retreat\, which will inclu
 de large group presentations\, small group discussions\, periods of refl
 ection\, and prayer in community. Doors will open at 5 pm Friday night\,
  and the retreat will begin with dinner at 6 pm. This retreat will concl
 ude before lunchtime on Sunday. \n\nThe Marianist Retreat &amp\; Confer
 ence Center is located on 120 acres adjacent to the Meramec River and fe
 atures miles of forest trails\, cliffs\, streams\, grotto\, meadows and

DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Good Friday day of recollection at the 
 Marianist Retreat and Conference Center on Friday\, April 7\, 2023\, fro
 m 9 am - 1 pm. Msgr. Michael Witt will lead us through two presentations
  and some time for reflection and meditation\, focusing on the symbolism
  of Biblical meals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive 
 the Sacrament of Reconciliation and/or Spiritual Direction\, if desired.
  We will conclude with a light Lenten lunch\, featuring baked tilapia -w
 hich is what scholars believe Jesus served his apostles! Though this eve
 nt technically ends at 1 pm\, folks are welcome to stay as late as 3 pm\
 , walking our beautiful grounds and/or spending some quiet time in our p
 eaceful chapel. Or\, if you would like to attend your own parish's Good

 \, 2023.\n\n\n\nAbout our presenter: Msgr. Michael John Witt was ordaine
 d a priest for the Archdiocese of Saint Louis in 1990. Before that he se
 rved the Church for twenty-two years as a Christian Brother\, teaching i
 n Oklahoma\, Missouri and Tennessee. He holds a Ph.D. from Saint Louis U
 niversity in Modern European History and a Masters in Divinity from Kenr
 ick-Glennon Seminary. He has served the archdiocese as associate pastor\
 , pastor\, Rector of the Oratory of Ss. Gregory and Augustine\, a Tradit
 ional Latin community\, Director of Continuing Formation of Priests\, Di
 rector of the Permanent Diaconate\, Interim President-Rector of the semi
 nary\, and is currently Professor of Church History at the seminary and 
 pastor of All Saints Parish in University City. Besides journal articles
 \, Monsignor Witt has published two books on American Catholic topics an
 d has completed a four-volume history of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis\

 l be brought to your by our retreat center staff members.\n\nThis one or
  two-day overnight retreat (you choose!) offers a quiet place to pray\, 
 rest\, and recharge. We invite all educators —teachers\, youth ministe
 rs\, PSR catechists\, principals\, campus ministers — to slow down and
  give the same care and kindness you’ve shown to your students to your
 self. Self-care is not selfish! All talks\, prayer experiences\, and wor
 ship opportunities are optional on this retreat. Participate in as much 
 or as little as you’d like. Listen to talks\, worship\, bask in the ex
 perience of a chair massage\, and enjoy our beautiful woods and trails\,
  river views\, and quiet outdoor prayer experiences. A detailed schedule
  listing a variety of options will be available upon arrival. All meals

 ur 2nd annual married couple's retreat here at the Marianist Retreat and

 etreat\, we anticipate selling out!\n\nDoors will open at 4 pm on Friday
 \, the retreat officially begins with dinner at 6 pm on Friday night\, a
 nd we will conclude at 10 am on Sunday. The cost per couple is $350\, an
 d we can accommodate 40 couples. The first 20 couples to register get di
 bs on a room with one queen bed\, and the last 20 couples who register w
 ill be in rooms that have two twin beds.\n\nWe will offer large group pr
 esentations\, opportunities for small group discussion\, chances to chat
  with your spouse\, communal prayer experiences\, time for private praye
 r and recreation\, prayer ministry with our retreat leaders\, the Sacram
 ent of Reconciliation\, Adoration\, and Mass. Since we want this retreat
  to be what you most need\, attendance at all sessions will be optional\
 ; please allow the Spirit to lead you! We will also conclude each evenin
 g with some social time\, so please bring your own favorite adult bevera
 ges should you care to imbibe.\n\nOur retreat leaders for the weekend ar

DESCRIPTION:This weekend retreat in early Advent (Friday evening through
  Sunday after lunch) is designed to draw retreatants closer to the Lord.
  Through scripture-opening teaching and experiences of various styles of
  prayer\, the retreat will encourage those present to bring fuller atten
 tion and intention to their times of prayer. The weekend will include ti
 me and space for both silence and fellowship.\n\nDoors will open at 5:00
  pm on Friday night\, December 8\, 2023 and the retreat will begin at 7:
 00 pm sharp. The retreat will end on Sunday\, December 10 2023 after lun
 ch is served.\n\nThe cost for the entire retreat is $250.00 per person\,
  which includes all presentations\, accommodations\, five delicious meal
 s (3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday)\, and the use of our entire retreat fa

 ERS:\n\nRev. Tom Santen has been priest of the Archdiocese of St. Louis 
 for 52 years. He has served as a parish priest (including 18 years as pa
 stor of St. Joseph Parish in Manchester\, MO)\, a high school religion t
 eacher\, a college campus minister\, a youth retreat director\, spiritua
 l director\, director of continuing formation of priests\, and personnel
  director for priests. He has been involved in retreat work throughout h
 is priesthood. He is “retired” and living at St. Simon the Apostle p
 arish\, serving as the Holy Spirit beckons him.\n\nLucia Signorelli is a
  spiritual director who has served as a retreat director\, coach\, and a
  long-time educator. Her Catholic education ministry included teaching j
 unior and senior high school\, elementary school administration and serv
 ing as Regional Director of Schools for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.\n\
 nSteve Givens is a retreat and spiritual director\, a widely published w
 riter on issues of faith and spirituality\, and a prayer companion for t
 hose praying the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. He serves a
 s executive director of the Bridges Foundation\, which offers the Spirit
