 oming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat\, he said to
  them\, ‘Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest
 ’.” Mark 6:31 \n\nLet’s be real\, this past year has taken a toll
  like no other on educators who have been overextended in an unstable\, 
 ever-changing classroom or school setting. This one or two-day overnight
  retreat offers a quiet place to pray\, rest\, and recharge. We invite y
 ou to slow down and turn the same care and kindness you’ve shown to yo
 ur students inward towards yourself. Self-care is not selfish! This retr
 eat includes faith-based opportunities like morning and evening prayer\,
  adoration\, outdoor prayer experiences\, and a celebration of the Eucha
 rist\, as well as self-care options for meditation and mindfulness\, cre
 ative processing\, or time to just sit and “Be Still Here”.  All me
 als are included along with an evening social to relax and enjoy each ot
 her’s company around a bonfire. All activities and programming are opt
 ional. This is your time to pause and offer your mind\, body\, heart\, a
 nd soul what it needs most\, and to support others who want to do the sa
 me.

  nun and author?\n\nJoin us for a special retreat weekend July 29-31\, 2
 022\, offering sacred space and time to explore The Seven Mansions of Te
 resa of Avila’s Interior Castle. Inspired by St. Teresa's vision of th
 e soul as a diamond in the shape of a castle containing seven mansions\,
  we will explore the stages that we go through as we are seeking to know
  our God.\n\nTeresa of Avila is one of Christianity’s great teachers. 
 The Seven Mansions of the Interior Castle is her final work and one of t
 he most profound literary works on Christian prayer. Prayer stood at the
  center of Teresa’s teaching\; she considered a life of prayer in term
 s of love and deepening relationship with God. Together we will reflect 
 on the light of Teresa’s timeless insights into the human soul\, its j
 ourney toward God\, and how Teresa’s teaching is relevant to our perso
 nal contemporary spiritual journey today.\n\nPeople of all ages and in a
 ll stages of spirituality are welcome to this retreat\, which will inclu
 de large group presentations\, small group discussions\, periods of refl
 ection\, and prayer in community. Doors will open at 5 pm Friday night\,
  and the retreat will begin with dinner at 6 pm. This retreat will concl
 ude before lunchtime on Sunday. \n\nThe Marianist Retreat &amp\; Confer
 ence Center is located on 120 acres adjacent to the Meramec River and fe
 atures miles of forest trails\, cliffs\, streams\, grotto\, meadows and

DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Good Friday day of recollection at the 
 Marianist Retreat and Conference Center on Friday\, April 7\, 2023\, fro
 m 9 am - 1 pm. Msgr. Michael Witt will lead us through two presentations
  and some time for reflection and meditation\, focusing on the symbolism
  of Biblical meals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive 
 the Sacrament of Reconciliation and/or Spiritual Direction\, if desired.
  We will conclude with a light Lenten lunch\, featuring baked tilapia -w
 hich is what scholars believe Jesus served his apostles! Though this eve
 nt technically ends at 1 pm\, folks are welcome to stay as late as 3 pm\
 , walking our beautiful grounds and/or spending some quiet time in our p
 eaceful chapel. Or\, if you would like to attend your own parish's Good 
 Friday services\, you will have plenty of time to do so after this event

 \, 2023.\n\n\n\nAbout our presenter: Msgr. Michael John Witt was ordaine
 d a priest for the Archdiocese of Saint Louis in 1990. Before that he se
 rved the Church for twenty-two years as a Christian Brother\, teaching i
 n Oklahoma\, Missouri and Tennessee. He holds a Ph.D. from Saint Louis U
 niversity in Modern European History and a Masters in Divinity from Kenr
 ick-Glennon Seminary. He has served the archdiocese as associate pastor\
 , pastor\, Rector of the Oratory of Ss. Gregory and Augustine\, a Tradit
 ional Latin community\, Director of Continuing Formation of Priests\, Di
 rector of the Permanent Diaconate\, Interim President-Rector of the semi
 nary\, and is currently Professor of Church History at the seminary and 
 pastor of All Saints Parish in University City. Besides journal articles
 \, Monsignor Witt has published two books on American Catholic topics an
 d has completed a four-volume history of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis\

 ritual director who has served as a retreat director\, coach\, and a lon

 nSteve Givens is a retreat and spiritual director\, a widely published w
 riter on issues of faith and spirituality\, and a prayer companion for t
 hose praying the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. He serves a
 s executive director of the Bridges Foundation\, which offers the Spirit
 ual Exercises in the greater St. Louis region.\nAdditional Details\nDoor

 rs: a teacher\, author\, and spiritual director who was born and raised 
 in South City\, St. Louis. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics 
 and a master’s degree in theological studies. She has ministered most 
 of her life as an educator\, teaching students of every age from kinderg
 arten through university level in Missouri\, New York\, Connecticut\, an
 d Taiwan. Currently she works at Saint Louis University as the Director

 ages)
DESCRIPTION:Attention: Mothers and Daughters of ALL AGES!\n\nThe Hearts 
 of Mary Retreat is a shared retreat experience for Mothers and Daughters
  of all ages. Talks and content range from age specific breakout session
 s to ageless whole group presentations\, providing everyone a chance to 
 explore their current faith life and go deeper with their loved ones. Ex
 perience prayer through art\, guided mother and daughter discussions\, a
  unique adoration encounter with Jesus\, and exploration of our beautifu
 l grounds\, which includes 120 acres filled with nature\, hiking trails\
 , a playground area\, and outdoor prayer experiences.)\n\nBiological mot
 hers\, adoptive mothers\, foster mothers\, grandmothers\, aunts\, godmot
 hers\, \, etc. - any and all women who have a mothering role - are invit
 ed\, along with their "daughters" to attend this event. There are no age
  restrictions\; we only ask that daughters be at least 7 years old.\n\nT
 his retreat will help everyone explore how to apply the love and virtues
  of Mary and Marianist spirituality to our modern day lives.\n\nThis one
 -day event is on Saturday June 15\, 2024 from 9 AM until 4:30 PM and the
  cost is $75/person. That being said\, if you would like to spend the ni
 ght on Friday night\, you can do so for an additional $50 per person. We
  will be offering a bit of Friday night programming with plenty of free 
 time to enjoy a sleepover\, play games\, eat snacks\, watch a movie\, or
  go to bed early\; just follow your heart's desire!\n\nSimply bring open
  hearts\, any favorite beverages\, and snacks to share which you can add
  to our community snack table.\n\nThose spending the night on Friday nig
 ht are welcome to arrive as early as 7 pm\, and if you arrive earlier yo
 u'll need to relax outside or do some hiking\, since our doors will not 
 open until 7 pm). Those attending only on Saturday should arrive by 8 am
  since the retreat will begin with a delicious breakfast. Lunch and all 
 programming will be provided. The retreat will end at 4:30 pm on Saturda
 y so that you can attend Mass at a nearby parish if you wish.\n\nOh\, an

SUMMARY:Seeds of Healing Retreat (January 18\, 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Seeds of Healing through Faith\, Hope\, and Love\nPlease joi
 n us for our 2nd annual Seeds of Healing retreat on Saturday\, January 1
 8\, 2025 from 9 am - 7 pm. This wonderful event is designed to bring God
 's healing touch to anyone who has lost a loved one to any tragic death\
 , including suicide.\n\nThough roller coaster of emotions can experience
 d through tragedy can be enough to make one doubt God's presence\, this 
 day of reflection is designed to help in the journey through these emoti
 ons and come out renewed with confidence in God's love and care for each
  one of us.\n\nMember of our ministry team for this day will include a v
 ariety of gifted individuals\, including Father Tom Miller. The rest of 
 our ministry team is still in development\, but we promise to keep this 
 document updated as we solidify our team.\n\nThere will be time for heal
 ing prayer\, discussions\, sharing\, learning techniques for healthy out
 let of emotions\, and testimony from those who have healed from the same
  pain you may be feeling.\n\nAttendance will be limited to 100 participa
 nts total for Saturday\, which will run from 9 am - 7 pm and will includ
 e breakfast and dinner for $65. We are also offering the option for up t
 o 45 of our participants to spend the night through 10 am on Sunday\; th
 ose who choose to spend the night will have additional time for rest\, f
 ellowship\, snacks\, a private room and breakfast. The cost of the overn
 ight experience is $155.\n\nWe expect to sell out\, so please register e
 arly. We look forward to spending this beautiful day of healing with you
 !\n\nAlso\, please note that Mass will not be included as a part of this
  retreat so that participants and team members can worship at their home
