SUMMARY:Hunger for God - A Good Friday Day of Recollection
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Good Friday day of recollection at the 
 Marianist Retreat and Conference Center on Friday\, April 7\, 2023\, fro
 m 9 am - 1 pm. Msgr. Michael Witt will lead us through two presentations
  and some time for reflection and meditation\, focusing on the symbolism
  of Biblical meals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive 
 the Sacrament of Reconciliation and/or Spiritual Direction\, if desired.
  We will conclude with a light Lenten lunch\, featuring baked tilapia -w
 hich is what scholars believe Jesus served his apostles! Though this eve
 nt technically ends at 1 pm\, folks are welcome to stay as late as 3 pm\
 , walking our beautiful grounds and/or spending some quiet time in our p
 eaceful chapel. Or\, if you would like to attend your own parish's Good 
 Friday services\, you will have plenty of time to do so after this event
  ends! Cost is $35 per person\, and registration is now open! Please not
 e\, however\, that our registration deadline is Noon on Monday\, April 3
 \, 2023.\n\n\n\nAbout our presenter: Msgr. Michael John Witt was ordaine
 d a priest for the Archdiocese of Saint Louis in 1990. Before that he se
 rved the Church for twenty-two years as a Christian Brother\, teaching i
 n Oklahoma\, Missouri and Tennessee. He holds a Ph.D. from Saint Louis U
 niversity in Modern European History and a Masters in Divinity from Kenr
 ick-Glennon Seminary. He has served the archdiocese as associate pastor\
 , pastor\, Rector of the Oratory of Ss. Gregory and Augustine\, a Tradit
 ional Latin community\, Director of Continuing Formation of Priests\, Di
 rector of the Permanent Diaconate\, Interim President-Rector of the semi
 nary\, and is currently Professor of Church History at the seminary and 
 pastor of All Saints Parish in University City. Besides journal articles
 \, Monsignor Witt has published two books on American Catholic topics an
 d has completed a four-volume history of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis\
 ; the audio versions are available on Covenant Network and the books are
