 to attend our annual Good Friday Day of Recollection on Friday\, April 3
 \, 2026\, at the beautiful and peaceful Marianist Retreat and Conference
  Center. The theme of the day is “Standing with John and Mother Mary (
 at the foot of the cross)” and it doesn’t get much more Marianist th
 an that! The world-famous Marianist Three O’clock prayer (https://www.
 marianist.com/three-oclock-prayer/) begins with this line:\n\nLord Jesus
 \,\nwe gather in spirit at the foot of the Cross\nwith your Mother and 
 the disciple whom you loved.\n\nHow cool is that?\n\nThis day will inclu
 de time for inspirational conferences\, personal reflection\, spiritual 
 direction\, and even golf cart tours of our property!\n\nDoors to our bu
 ilding and our chapel will open at 8 am and we will have coffee and donu
 ts available as folks arrive. Programming begins at 9 am and ends at 12:
 15 pm with a light Lenten lunch so that anyone wishing to attend their o
 wn church’s Good Friday services can. Our doors will remain open until
  3 pm for anyone who would like to pray in our chapel\, hike our trails\
 , and/or be blessed by our many outdoor prayer experiences.\n\nAbout Our
  Presenters:\n\nAnne Hruz currently works for the St Louis Archdiocese w
 here she has served for 13 years as the Coordinator of Healing and Deliv
 erance Ministry at the Catholic Renewal Center. She frequently gives tra
 ining in prayer ministry and talks for parish groups and retreats. Anne 
 is a trained Spiritual Director and serves as an instructor in the Certi
 ficate in Spiritual Direction program for the St. Louis Archdiocese.  
 She earned her bachelor’s degree in theology and education at Marquett
 e University in Milwaukee\, WI\, her hometown. Anne and her husband Paul
  met and married in Milwaukee 34 yrs ago\, before moving to St Louis in 
 1997.  They are blessed with 5 young adult children and 7 grandchildren
 . St. Joseph Manchester is Anne’s home parish\, where she has served o
 n ACTS teams\, the Pro-Life Committee and Jonah prayer ministry.\n\nA lo
 ng-time contributor to the Marianists’ Alive magazine\, John Schroeder
  has also been writing about ‘found spirituality’ at his blog (www.w
 ithusstill.blog) for more than a dozen years. His book of Lenten reflect
 ions\, Steadfast Spirit\, was published in 2020. He has been active in l
 eading fourth-day encounter retreat programs (such as ACTS and Kairos Pr
 ison Ministry) since 2003. He and his wife Gerri are parishioners at St.
  Joseph-Manchester\, where they raised their three (now-adult) offspring
  … and where they continue to savor every opportunity to spoil their g
 randdaughter and two grandsons.\nRegistration is now closed. We hope to
