The Daybreak from on High — Encountering Jesus in the Midst of Dark
ness\n\n"...because of the tender mercy of our God by which the daybreak
from on high will visit us to shine on those who sit in darkness and de
ath’s shadow..." (Lk 1:78-79)"\n\nAdvent is a season of waiting for th
e Light\, but what do we do when life still feels dark? Drawing from the
Canticle of Zechariah and his own experiences of suffering\, uncertaint
y\, prayer\, and grace\, Adam Wright invites us to spend a day encounter
ing Jesus in the very places we might be tempted to believe He is absent
. Together\, we will reflect on the “tender mercy of our God” and th
e promise that Christ\, the Daybreak from on high\, comes “to shine on
those who sit in darkness and death’s shadow.” Through prayer\, ref
lection\, and time before the Lord\, this Advent Day of Recollection wil
l invite us not simply to ask God to take away the darkness\, but to dis
cover what He may be doing within it. Come away for a day and prepare yo
ur heart anew for Emmanuel—the God who does not remain distant from ou
r darkness\, but enters into it and dwells with us.\nThe cost for this o
ne-day retreat\, which includes continental breakfast\, all retreat mate
 rials\, and lunch and all retreat materials\, is $65 per person.\nOr\, i
f you would like to spend the night on Friday night (either because you

tration fee of $115 will allow you to arrive as early as 3 pm on Friday\
, giving you time to exploring our 120 acres of beautiful property with
numerous outdoor prayer experiences\, our peaceful chapel\, a comfortabl
 e room\, a continental breakfast on Saturday morning\, Saturday’s prog
ramming\, and Saturday lunch. And\, though Friday night dinner will not

  Nativity outdoor prayer experience https://marianistretreat.com/events

m Wright is a Roman Catholic striving to answer the universal call to ho
liness through his vocation as a husband and father of five. After sixte
en years in parish pastoral ministry\, including service in music\, yout
h\, and young adult ministry\, Adam now serves as the host of Covenant N
etwork Catholic Radio’s morning show\, Roadmap to Heaven. In 2024\, Ad
am was diagnosed with stage four Neuroendocrine Cancer\, a journey he ha
s embraced as an opportunity to walk with Christ on the Way of the Cross
and witness the beauty of God’s grace amid suffering. Through the spi
ritual fruit of uniting suffering with Christ and the extraordinary love
shown by family\, friends\, and the Church\, Adam has seen God at work
in profound ways. Passionate about the redemptive power of suffering and
the universal call to holiness\, Adam shares his story in hopes of help
ing others encounter God’s transforming love and grace as they pursue
sainthood in the ordinary—and sometimes extraordinarily difficult—mo
 ments of life.\n\nREGISTER: \n\n[zohoForms src=https://forms.zohopublic
